Process for New-Member Applications
  1. The Membership Committee evaluates an applicant for eligibility for membership after receiving a complete JOIN application and fees. The Committee will evaluate an application for completeness and confirm information on the application. The applicant will be evaluated according to HRMA eligibility requirements in effect at the time of application as determined by the Board (eligibility requirements are published in "Qualifications for Membership" accessible on the JOIN drop-down menu on the HRMA Homepage). Please note that membership in SHRM does not guarantee that all eligibility requirements are met.
  2. The Membership Committee presents membership recommendations at each HRMA Board Meeting, which is normally held on the Tuesday prior to the monthly dinner meeting (dates for dinner meetings appear on the HRMA homepage, and are usually the 2nd Monday of each month; meetings are not held in July and August). The Board has final decision in the application approval process.
  3. New members will usually be notified within 48 hours via email by the Membership Committee, and will receive instructions for accessing the members-only section of the website. Follow-up for ineligible applicants and incomplete applications will usually occur within 1 week after a Board Meeting. Please note that errors on the application can be grounds for ineligibility.
  4. New members with a join date after October 1st will have their membership extended for the following year. If you have further questions, please contact the Membership Committee. They can be reached via HRMAInfo@HRMA-NJ.org.

HRMA respects the privacy of our members and guests, and does not sell or rent labels or email addresses. At the discretion of the Board, HRMA may provide to Co-sponsors of events a single set of our membership mailing labels limited to use in the co-sponsored event.
